Thermal Protective Aids (TPA) are designed to reduce body heat loss and protect survivors from hypothermia after abandoning ship. TPAs are lightweight, waterproof, and reflective, and are required onboard liferafts and rescue boats under SOLAS and IMO LSA Code provisions.
